This is all very well and good, but my problem with Medium has always been how you curate, promote and make stories available for other readers to access.
I have written dozens of stories for which I get the same response:
Our curators were not able to review this story for distribution in topics due to high volume. This story will still be shared with followers.
Unfortunately, the story disappears into Medium lalaland within minutes.
Also…one question. There are publications such as Zora, Forge Human Parts, etc., that are managed (owned), and promoted by Medium. How do you treat those writers? Do they get a salary from Medium, or do they earn like the regular writers that do not get curated and promoted? If they earn the same way regular Medium writers do, then this is a conflict of interest, since they are curated and promoted as a matter of course.
Needless to say, I stopped writing for Medium. What’s the sense.
